I'll try to help you, one time, because there are plenty forums that are especially for deamon tools and/or alcohol.
Try to disable the user content management and execute the install files as administrator.
If this does not help please search an appropriate forum for your problem.

Problems while installing Daemon tools or Alcohol 120% they both asks to reboot before installing and when i restart they again asks for reboot.How many times i reboot my PC no results they aren't installing please any one answer me what's the problem and what should I do.I am using Windows 7 beta release with 1.5gb ram.

There is no reason to run dproto exept you want non-steam users on your server. Everything else can be done without using illegal software.

Hi,
I'm portuguese (so sorry if I commit any typo) and I have 4 Steam servers that have been DDoS attacked.
To solve the problem I installed dproto and it resulted since my servers didn't crash anymore even after testing the crasher program myself in my own servers.
The new problem is that amxbans gets disconfigured - the cstrike image doesn't appear, the server name gets substituted by 27.0.0.1, the players number gets a 3 digit number in () and another number behind it, the map name is the server's name.
I know you don't support non-steam servers but this is a steam server. Dproto is only to protect us from DDoS attacks.
Is there any way do solve this problem? Or is there any other way to protect my server compatible with amxbans without having to change the start command because I have no access to it?
Thanks in advance.

PS: The exploit really works but only in Linux servers I believe (I've not tried in windows servers).

I have a game server hosted on a domain and on that domain exists a database for admins.

i want to use amxbans but on that domain i can not make a new database. i want to use another domain for amxbans.

Created on domain www.samtradingco.net a subfolder called Bans
created a database called samtrad_bans
in the folder Bans i copy web (from archive/web) and instaled.

Problem 1. when i enter the website http://www.samtradingco.net/Bans/ban_list.php the page is blank.
Problem 2. i created on my computer a hlds server with amxmod 1.8.1 instaled amxban.amxx
i configured in sql.cfg
amx_sql_host "85.9.22.220"
amx_sql_user "samtrad_topo"
amx_sql_pass "xxxxxxx"
amx_sql_db "samtrad_bans"
amx_sql_table "admins"
amx_sql_type "mysql"

but when i start the server i get the following error:
[amxbans.amxx] [Amxbans] Message: Can't connect to MySQL server on '85.9.22.220' (10060) (2003)

Please help me with this.

Problem 3 if problems 1 and 2 will be fixed with your help then how to configure sql.cfg to use 2 databases?
1 for admins on the server online
2. for bans (the database from above)

Please post the result of the following server-console commands:
amxx list
amxx modules
meta list
status
And check the error logs for errors regarding amxbans. Please also check the regular logfiles around the time this problem happened.

Hi, i am using amxbans 5.0 and my server is showed in internet servers.

Im banning players through amx_banmenu, and today i noticed that it doesnt ban some players (not all of them), i noticed that when i tried to ban one cheater and i used amx_banmenu, pressed on his nick, and nothing happened.kick and slay from amxmodmenu for him works fine, but ban doesnt work..

There is a way to do that amx_banmenu banning players would call a command amx_banip not amx_ban ?
